Beryl Swingle, Hamlin, died Monday night in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness.  She was the widow of Lowell Swingle.

Born 1937 in the Bidwell Hill section of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lois Daniel Hawk.   She was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and was a member of the former Bidwell Hill United Methodist Church.  Prior to her retirement she had been employed at the Hamlin Dress Factory as well as Sherman Mills in Hawley.  Beryl was very active with the GDS Fair.   She had served as the Fair Director for the refreshment stand and was honored as a “Lifetime Fair Director.”

The family would like to thank Melissa Weidner, CRNP and the staffs of the Wayne Memorial Hospital and Ellen Memorial Health Care Center for the excellent care give to Beryl.

Surviving are a daughter Nancy Krisovitch and her husband Pete; grandchildren Kara and Petie Krisovitch and his companion Jan Cornell; a great granddaughter Petra Krisovitch;  goddaughters Mandi Johannes and Tia Strada and their families.

She was also preceded in death by an infant brother Kenneth, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Saturday from 9am until time of service.

Interment, private in Salem Cemetery, Hamlin.
