Barbara A. Jones, 74 of Olyphant, died Thursday morning at home. Her husband of 55 years is Lloyd Jones.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Wilma Daniels Schaffer. Before her illness, she attended the Peckville Assembly of God Church.

“The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Amen.”

Also surviving are her daughter Mandy Jones of Olyphant; her son Thomas Jones; grandchildren Sherese Jones, Jonathan Jones, Jessica Jones, and Gianna Mcmillan; great grandson Colin Faenner; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Bishop; brothers Earl and Bill Schaffer.

Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
