Arlene E. Stevens of Jefferson Twp., died Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Her husband of 56 years is Glenn E Stevens.

Born in Lake Ariel, daughter of the late Stewart Chapman and AnnaMae (Bartlow) Chapman,
she was a member of the 1958 Class of Lake Consolidated School. She was the Children’s Church Director and a Sunday School teacher at Hamlin Assembly of God for over 40 years.

She loved farming, gardening, and sewing, but her greatest love was her family and friends.
She always put the needs of others before her own and was the most generous giving person you
could meet. She always had a listening ear and gave great advice.

Also surviving are her daughters, Sheryl Hollister and her husband Marc of Mt. Cobb, Linda Sapack and her husband Greg of Swoyersville, and Michele Hineline and her husband Thomas of Sterling; grandchildren, Tracy, Travis, Andrew and John; great-grandchildren, Alex, Lee, Lydia, and Katie; brothers, Laurice Chapman of Lake Ariel, Elston Chapman of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and sister Elaine Stevens of Lake Ariel.

She was preceded in death by granddaughters Katie Ann and Kelly Lynn and a brother Lee Chapman.

Funeral will be Monday, September 22 at 11:00 am in The Hen’s Nest, 241 Lake Spangenburg Rd. Mt. Cobb, Pa. 18436 with services by Rev. William Henwood.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 21 from 4:00  8:00 pm and Monday, from 9:00  11:00 am at The Hen’s Nest.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
