Ann C. Long, 92, of Hamlin, died Wednesday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness. Her husband of 43 years Dale R. Long, Sr. died in 1984.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, daughter of the late Walter and Mary Tobias Tlucek. She was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre High School Class of 1943. Prior to retirement she was the Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Rita’s Sportswear in Moscow, PA.

Ann loved traveling the world, family gatherings and visits, and staying connected with family and friends on her Ipad. She loved dancing the polka, some good old rock and roll, and never missed an opportunity to go on trips with groups and friends.

Surviving are a daughter Deborah Long-Pennell and her husband Donald of North Port, FL; sons Dale R. Long, Jr. and his wife Arlene of Lake Ariel and Richard J. Long and his wife Cathy of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Melissa Long-Flores of Peach Tree City, GA, Brian R. Long of Waymart, Christa Long-Maiocco of Lake Ariel, Kenneth Pennell of Middletown, DE, Richard Pennell of Pine Bush, NY, and Cynthia Pennell-Bearman of Del Ray Beach, FL; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her daughter Carolyn Ann Long in 1973 and 7 siblings.

Prayer service will be held Monday, March 12 at 10:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd, Lake Ariel by Deacon Matt Lorent.
