Graveside and interment will take place in the spring in Salem Cemetery, Hamlin. Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Alvis “Helen” Field, Lake Ariel, died Monday morning in the Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of Leland “Jake” Field who died in 2007. Born in Galilee, Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Cora Conklin White. Helen was a graduate of the Damascus High School and was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Hamlin. Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a farmer and by the Willard Gilpin Pharmacy. She was also the owner of the Field Used Furniture Store. Surviving are a daughter Joanne Koerner and her husband Keith of Hamlin; Ray and his wife Sandy and Walter and his wife Peggy all of Lake Ariel; sisters Marjorie Schwab of Honesdale and Jeanette Rutledge of Lakewood; a brother Byron White of Waymart; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Randy; a sister Evelyn Smith; brothers Melvin, Richard and John White. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. Spring interment and graveside services will take place in the Salem Cemetery.
