Allen D Chamberlain, Lake Ariel, died Saturday at home.  His wife of 35 years is the former Dawn L. Gregory.

Born 1957 in Lake Ariel, he was the son of the late Dale G Chamberlain and Grace G. Zempel.  Allen had been employed by Maid Rite Steak Company in Dunmore as a truck driver, and had driven escort cars for oversized loads.

Allen loved spending his free time at home with his wife and two sons, Joshua and Nathan.  He was an avid Nascar and racing fan and could usually be found on weekends rooting for his favorite Nascar drivers including Bill Elliot. Allen was also a dog lover and was very good at working with and training his dog, Emma to be both loving and entertaining.  Allen was known for his friendly and engaging nature and could always be counted on to provide a daily joke and/or anecdote to brighten your day.

Allen is survived by his wife, Dawn, his son Joshua and wife Lottie, and his son Nathan.  He is also survived by his stepmother, Janice Chamberlain, his stepsisters Robin Mayeski and Lisa Chamberlain;  stepbrother Al “P-Jones” and wife Linda; mother in law Mary M. Gregory and members of the Gregory family;  aunt Elsie Jolly; uncle Tim Bortree; aunt Josie Chamberlain; uncle Edward Wargo; and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Bradley; father in law David C. Gregory.

A celebration of Allen’s life will be held Friday at 6pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday from 5pm until time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Claws ‘N’ Paws Wild Animal Park, 1475 Ledgedale Road, Lake Ariel, PA 18436.
