Alfred E. Swinick passed away December 16th.

Born in Avoca, PA in 1924, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Swinick. He was a member of the graduating class of 1954 from Penn State, State College, PA majoring in math and agriculture. He was a World War II veteran with an honorable discharge.

He loved living in the country and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading. He was always interested in education and learning. He said that you could always learn something from someone else. He was an uncle, great-uncle, and a great-great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers Frank, Pete, and Zack; his sisters Sophia, Mary, Millie, Estelle, Helen, and Theresa.

Surviving are his sisters Rose, Louise, and Betty.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00am in St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Anyone attending Mass is asked to go directly to the Church.

Friends may call Friday from 3:00-7:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
