Alfred Bischoff, of Hawley, PA, passed away February 11th at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born 1926 in Germany, he was the son of the late Christian & Charlotte Bischoff.  He attended trade school in Germany where he learned his life-long profession, tool & die making.   Upon emigrating to the United States, he first worked for Aero Gear in Little Ferry, NJ,  and then for both Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ, and General Motors Company in Tarrytown, NY, as a master tool & die maker until his retirement in 1990.

He was a hard worker, dedicated family man who was very caring and always worried about his family, and someone who would help anyone at any time.   He was very gifted with his hands and could build and fix anything.   He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

He was the loving husband of Alice (Stelter) Bischoff; devoted father of Rene Miller of Pennsylvania;  cherished grandfather of Ken Miller of California and Jaime Miller Ahlman of North Carolina (and their spouses); and beloved great-grandfather of Victoria Miller Guerrero.

He was preceded in death by his siblings:  Erich, Walter, and Rheinhold.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21st, at 2pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd., Lake Ariel, PA.

Friends may call from 12pm until time of service.

Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.
