Alexander Lee Seeley, 32, of Scranton, died Thursday morning after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Alex is survived by parents, Richard Seeley, Jr. and Susan Carney Seeley; adoring sister, Melissa Seeley; paternal grandfather, Richard Seeley, Sr. of South Canaan, extended family members, and many beloved friends. He was a 2007 graduate of Western Wayne High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts with a concentration in Photography from Keystone College in Factoryville. He was employed as a photographer by Saks Fifth Avenue at their studio in Pottsville.

Art was Alex’s passion from a young age. He was a well-respected event photographer in the Scranton area and his favorite thing to photograph was concerts. He loved listening to records, horror films, and Halloween. He lived his life to the fullest and always had something clever to say.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Arthur and Theresa Carney and his paternal grandmother Joan Seeley.

A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in East Canaan Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel PA.

Memorials may be made in Alex’s name to the Make A Wish Foundation Gift Processing, 1702 East Highland Ave. Suite 400 Phoenix AZ 85016.
