It’s been one year without you It hasn’t been easy without you here.... I miss the unconditional love that your parents give you, I miss talking to you and telling you what the girls are doing... I miss asking how to do something like how to remove rust from a garden tool or some recipe .... I was lucky that I had you and dad as my parents and that I got to share most of my life with you... you taught me what was important in life and how to achieve my dreams. You taught me how to be independent but was always there to catch me if I fell..you even took care of me as you knew you were aging... even in death you took care of all the things to make your passing as easy for me as you could. I miss you and love you both!

Alberta was a very good friend of mine and my husband for over 20 years. Alberta was always happy and optimistic about life. Just talking to her cheered me up when I had problems. Alberta was cheerful even when she was having health problems. She never complained about her problems but instead asked what my latest problems were. Alberta and Don introduced my husband and I to winters in Myrtle Beach, which wouldn’t have happened otherwise. We also spent many happy hours at Mt. Airy Casino. I’m 8 years younger than Alberta but she was more young at heart than me. I will greatly miss Alberta!

Alberta was more than just my sister...when our Mother died when I was 8 and she was 15, she stepped in and did all the things Mom would have done. I know she made sure Santa visited that first Christmas! Until I was married and moved to the Chicago area, she put the needs of me and our Dad before her own. Shortly after she and Don were married, I moved in with them until I finished school a year later. That alone tells you a lot about Alberta and Don, too. You could not ask for a better sister or friend than that! She will always in my heart. I will miss that she's no longer a phone call away. Alberta made such a difference in my life. If some one made a difference in yours, tell them Today!
