Alberta L. Davailus, Lake Ariel, died Sunday at home after an illness.  Her husband of 36 years is George Davailus.

Born August 12, 1931 in Gouldsboro, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice Keiper-Fritz who were the parents of seven children, of which Alberta was one of three sets of twins. She was of the Methodist faith. Prior to her retirement she had been employed in local sewing shops as well as day care centers.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Traditional Home Health and Hospice staff for the compassionate care they afforded Alberta while she was in their care.

Also surviving are a son Eugene Mathews and his wife Sandi of Hawley; a stepson George Davailus of Sterling, VA;  a sister Jean Setzer of Sterling;  brothers Eugene of Hoadleys and James of Daleville as well as her twin brother Albert Fritz of North Carolina; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren;  nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sons Edward and James Mathews; a sister Janet Strausser and a brother George Fritz.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Thursday morning from 10am until time of service.

Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
