Friends may call Wednesday from 4pm until time of service.

Spring Interment, East Canaan Cemetery, South Canaan.

Ronald Joseph Barillo Sr.,of Milford and Lake Ariel, passed away unexpectedly Friday March 17,2017 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after being stricken ill at home.

Born in 1937 in Brooklyn, NY He was the son of Helen Malecky Barillo Lake Ariel and the late Joseph A. Barillo. He was a devoted member of the Milford Bible Church.  He was a former member of the Western Wayne School Board.

Ron was an accomplished multi facetted entrepreneur his entire life with business interests in New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. He was invited to the White House for a businessman’s luncheon under President Reagan.

As founder and owner of B&S Homes, he was recognized in the Better Homes & Garden Magazine for his construction of a home design that was featured in the Japanese Architecture Show. This indeed was one of his finest creations.

For several years he was the owner of Bahia Mar Boat and Yacht Charters located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida . His passion for boats included ownership of his own yacht aboard which he enjoyed trips and entertaining family and friends.

Ron was a licensed pilot owning his own plane logging many hours of pleasure flights where he said he found serenity amidst the heavens.

He also loved motorcycles, sleek fast cars, fine food, laughter and all that life had to offer.  He enjoyed a loving relationship with his three children and their families.

An avid horseman Ron owned several race horses but later in life his love was his treasured pleasure horse “Lobo” with whom he traveled many trails and spent quiet afternoons at The Malibu Dude Ranch in Milford.

Ron served as a youth pastor that ministered to many and helped guide them in their hour of need. His love for his heavenly father abounded.  He will be deeply missed by many.

Ron is survived by his mother Helen Malecky Barillo, Lake Ariel.  Sons Ronald Barillo Jr. and wife Kelly,  Glen Barillo and wife Jennifer, both of Lake Ariel. His daughter Karen Barillo Kowalczyk and her companion Daniel Krol, Honesdale. Grandchildren Joseph Barillo and his companion Caitlyn Morgan, Dunmore, Anthony Barillo, New York City, Paige and Nicholas Barillo, Lake Ariel.  Sisters Sondra and husband David Varoli, NJ, Lorna Gilpin and husband Donald, Lake Ariel. Brother Dennis Barillo, Lake Ariel.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers Gary and Bruce Barillo.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6:30pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Ken Claflin, pastor of the Hamlin Assembly of God Church.
