Robert A. Duffey of the Hideout, Lake Ariel, died February 1st while vacationing in Orlando, FL. His wife is the former Ronnie Silverman.

Born in Southampton, NY, son of the late Andrew Zukiewicz and Mary (Vinski) Ziolkowski, he attended Southampton High School and received his B.S. from the New York Institute of Technology.

He retired as Detective, New York City Police Department after serving 24 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and Special Agent (CGIS) of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.

He was a member of the American Legion Staff Sgt. Paul A. Sweeney Post 807, where he was the Sergeant at Arms and a member of the Color Guard. He previously retired as Pennsylvania State Constable, Lake Township; Captain of the Fire Police for the Lake Ariel Volunteer Fire Department and Ski School Director for The Hideout Ski School from 1993 to 2017.

Also surviving are a son Jonathan Duffey and his fiancé Melissa Heid both of Lake Ariel; a sister Patricia Fulcher and her husband Donald of Long Island; a brother Theodore Duffey and his wife Maria of Massachusetts; a brother-in-law Bryan Berman and his wife Leslie of Long Island; nieces and nephews Dawne and her husband Larry DeVito, Theodore Duffey, Jr., and Cheryl and her husband Paul Broderick.

A Celebration of Life with full military honors will be held Saturday February 24th at 1:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
