Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Marion Jeffreys, 86, Lake Ariel, passed away Thursday afternoon in the Lutheran Community at Telford where she had resided.   She was the widow of Philip Jeffreys who passed away in May 2003.

Born in Lake Ariel, she was the daughter of the late Emil O. and Thelma Rutledge Brown.   She graduated from Lake Consolidated High School and Wayne Commercial School.  Following graduation, she worked for the Department of Defense in Washington, DC.  After she was married, she cared for numerous children of family, friends, and neighbors in her home for most of her adult life. Marion was a devoted member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, now the Salem Community Church, in Hamlin, as a Sunday school teacher, on church committees, and nursey attendant for church services, for over 50 years.  She also, volunteered at Salem Public Library for many years.

Surviving are daughters Karen Fleetman and her husband Hobart of Perkasie, PA and Cathy Zeiler and her husband Daniel of Lake Ariel; a son Randy and his wife Stella of Riding, VA; sister Sylvia Rivezzi of Lake Ariel; a brother Gary Brown of Lake Ariel; grandchildren: Ilia (Fleetman) DeOrzio, Kyle Fleetman, Jessica (Zeiler) McKee, Kristie Zeiler, Braden Zeiler, Lindsey Jeffreys and Jason Jeffreys; she has 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers Arthur and Arnold and her sister Edna Swingle.

Funeral services are private in the James Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Rarich, pastor of the Salem Community Church.
