The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece Mary Walker and her husband Ted for all of their love and compassionate care as well as the Allied Hospice for their kindness and and support.

Kathryn requested that their will be no calling hours and that the interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Kathryn B. Turouski, Lake Ariel, died Sunday morning at the home of her niece Mary and Ted Walker after an illness.  She was the wife of John Turouski who died in 1987.

Born 1928 in Varden, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Leora Frisbee Enslin.   She was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and was of the Methodist faith.  Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Katz Manufacturing as a seamstress and floor lady as well as the Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home.

Kathryn enjoyed gardening, baking and watching and feeding birds, especially the hummingbirds.   She was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are sons Joseph and Paul; a daughter Margaret “Peggy” Field and husband Walter all of Lake Ariel;  grandchildren Colleen Austin, Kevin Field and wife Teri and Joseph Turouski; great granddaughter Shawna Austin;  brothers George and Eugene Enslin both of Lake Ariel;  nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers Graydon and Russell and a sister Margaret Edwards.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
