Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church 305 St. Mary’s Church Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Stavoy, Pastor.

Anyone planning on attending the mass is asked to go directly to the Church.

Friends may call Monday from 4:00-8:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Cremation will follow the Mass in The Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Joseph D. O’Neill, 80, of Lake Ariel died Monday at St. Anthony’s Hospital St. Petersburg, FL following an illness. His wife of 61 years is the former Annette D’Amelio.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, son of the late Joseph V. and Maureen P. Duesenberry O’Neill, he was a graduate of East Orange High School. Prior to retirement he owned and operated Air Brake and Equipment in Pine Brook, NJ for 20 years. He also worked in sales for Kraft Foods and Nationwide Trucking. He was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary’s Church Community and the Hawley American Legion Post 311. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Also surviving are a daughter Laurie Tricarico and her husband Alex of Crandon Lakes, NJ; sons Joseph and his wife Joanne of Sparta, NJ and Gary and his wife Laurie of Ogdensburg, NJ; a sister Barbara Marucci; brothers Robert and Edward O’Neill;sister-in-law Judy Turner, brother-in-law John D’Amelio; grandchildren Ali Lahaye and her husband Ray, Aimee O’Neill, Jimmy Tricarico, Samantha Tricarico, Isabella O’Neill, and Daniel O’Neill; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson Carmen Patrick Tricarico.
